The New Testament book of 2 Timothy says that a time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. The family in the Wrath book series is similar to many Christian families in America. They attend a church that doesn’t teach the Bible chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Instead, their pastor only does topical studies on themes like relationships and financial stewardship. Their pastor never teaches from books of the Bible, like Daniel and Revelation, that involve end-times Bible prophecy. As a result, they know very little about a seven-year period the Bible calls the 70th Week of Daniel. What little they do know is based on books they have read or details they have picked up from Christian friends.
It’s been said that, in order to have peace, you must first have war. As our story begins, the world has experienced its first nuclear war. Led by Russia, a handful of countries in the Middle East have invaded Israel, just as the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel said they would. Though outnumbered one hundred to one, Israel wins! Israel uses its nuclear weapons to destroy the invading armies. In order to prevent the next nuclear war, the UN divides the world into ten Zones, each with its own President. This change brings the world very close to a one-world government.
Fearing that the Tribulation period could begin at any moment, the family in Wrath diligently seeks to discover the truth about the last days. After they learn the true timing of the Rapture, they struggle with a critical decision every Believer will have to make during this time in history; whether to fight the Anti-Christ and his one-world government or to run away and hide.
